Last summer (2011) I found (bought) a Martin D-35 on Craigslist for $1,400.00. It had been played but no damage of nicks like you usually find in guitars owners don't care about. The top is very nicely aged, it's golden, not white like the new ones. I'm sure that's aging. This guitar resonates like crazy, has great volume and plays like a dream, all what you'd expect from our friends at Martin. I wonder if the price was right. I have no complaints; I no longer shop for acoustics, I mean what's the point? Anything that sounds better than this is going to be way out of my affordability range anyway.
