Happy Birthday to my first real guitar

Wow--i's been April since the last new thread in this part of the forum?
    Time for a new one...

I still have this guitar--and on Christmas Day it was the birthday/anniversary of his being my first real guitar.
So I thought I'd post some pictures of it--and it did get played.

Out of all the Christmas presents I got growing up--this is my favorite.

    It's branded a Taro--a MIJ classical guitar.

It's survived a broken headstock, and came out of it even stronger

Rare brand! The Les Paul Junior I rebuilt for my buddy started life as a Taro. Yours is one of only few I've found online. They were built by Matsumoku and the Taro-branded ones were for export to Canada.

I've read that--my first electric & first bass were also made by Matsumoku & branded for sale in canada (Granada)
    Those were also 2nd & 3rd...

As long as we're talking first guitars, here's mine - 65 Zenon

Mine celebrated it's 50th birthday in late November.

Hi there, I'll post some pic's when I get it cleaned up, and after I've introduced myself. Just stumbled on the guitar (kijiji), and then stumbled on the forum.

    Taro F-114

It appears to have a solid top, and I can't really believe it but the rosewood back & sides at first look appear to be solid too. It has an adjustable truss rod, and warm tone.

    All I got so far.

Nice to run into you here zontar, and a belated happy birthday to your Taro.

Hey, Blind Dog, welcome to the forum from another BC'er. We're looking forward to seeing your Taro after you've given it some love.
