'05 Larrivee OM-03 bear claw (Have to share this one.)

It's a 2005 (Vancouver) Larrivee OM-03 with (no cost) 'custom' bear claw top. Within 2 minutes of seeing it on kijiji, I emailed, "I'll take it!", and within 10 minutes I had called the seller (Gerry Sobie - Vintage Guitars Calgary) and confirmed the details. I just knew.

I wasn't disappointed. Exceeded my hopes. Tone, sustain, balance, action/neck, and volume are simply perfect. It pushes my playing, and we quickly bonded. Me, Healey, and the OM hang together all day, every day.

    Some spec's.

    OM - Orchestra Model

    Lower Bout 15.375
    Upper Bout 11.75
    Waist 9.625
    Depth 4.25
    Overall Length 40.5
    Scale Length 25.5
    Nut Width: 1 & 3/4" (44.3mm or 1.75")
    Setup for Light Gauge Strings
    Frets: Nickel / Silver
Fretboard Radius: 17" to 21" Compound
    Frets Width: 2.5 mm (0.0985")
    Frets Height: 1.0 mm (0.0394")

Bear claw spruce top, mahogany neck/back/sides, maple body binding, silver dot fret markers, bone nut & saddle, clear pick guard and Larrivee branded tuners.

The company has moved from TO, Vancouver, Victoria (that I know of) and has now consolidated operations in Oxnard, California. Jean's still at the helm, still a wood guy, and the customer service is still amazing.

I'm a very, very, happy clam.

I've been a pilgrim on this earth, since the day of my birth, I'm a long way from my home.

Thanks folks. I've been thru quite a few guitars, looking to replace, 'The one that got away.', but this one sure is doing it's best to make me forget the MIA axe. Just fits.
