Maybe--if he has a plan to lease to buy--hey--go for it...

I have a children's 5 string banjo that should probably go too.

Some kids' instruments are little better than toys (or worse)
    Some are really cool.

I know someone with a half scale electric guitar (tuned up from standard tuning to A, D, G, C, E, A)
It's a lot of fun to play.

This one is better than a toy- it is a real instrument with a rosewood fretboard etc and reasonable tuners. But nobody plays it.

    I don't know--I'm not buying it

And I am not going to get rid of any of my gear at this time--although there are a couple of amps & a couple of pedals I would consider parting with for the right price.

None of mine HAVE to go--but a couple could as I don't use them much & I could use them to trade for other gear or sell for money t buy more gear

I tried trading in my Peavey Classic 30 a couple months ago and the store offered me $200. That's about what my recent retube cost me.
