    Here's a war story I hope never happens again.

    We played an early Dixieland gig in a library and the crowd seemed very happy. However after the concert this very old guy gets up and starts ranting about something. He was slurring his speech so we literally couldn't understand anything he was saying. After he went one for a couple minutes, making the audience very uncomfortable (and they started creeping out of the room), I put my guitar on the stand, shook his hand while he was mid sentence and said "thank you for coming, I hope you enjoyed the show". To which he looked at me very confused and walked off.

    Yep- I honestly couldn't understand a thing the guy was saying so I assumed he'd had a stroke or similar. But in general it is not worth taking the bait when people are being unpleasant

    Just not in a gig setting

    I've had hats fall off on stage but that wouldn't be quite as embarrassing
