    A Decca guitar on local Craigslist

    I've never heard of the guitar, though I know there was a record company of this name-(they passed on the Beatles).

    Quite the odd looking guitar, I doubt that they will get the $250 they are asking for...

    Interesting guitar, and I've never heard of Decca as an instrument maker either. The tulip shaped horns make me wonder if Tiesco had a hand in building them. That pickguard reminds me a lot of a Guyatone I owned in 68.

    Looks like a Teisco. Probably had the same manufacturer. Then I found this;

    I don't play guitar because I'm good at it, I play because it's fun!!

    Great find, Stan. Looks like the exact model in the brochures.

    I would love to be a curator at a guitar museum, full of all the lovely guitars on this website.

    I would spend all day just wandering around the museum, tuning the guitars, playing them...

    I only found out a month or so ago, from the most unlikely of sources (a local greybeard hippie) that there's a keyboard/synth museum in Calgary. Apparently it's a private collection, but the owner has basically treated it like a museum, allowing all comers to visit and drool, and when I was passing thru CGY last month I saw a local scene mag announcing the official opening of it as a full-fledged museum. (Apparently the showpiece of the museum at this time is a real, working Buchla.)

    FYI I don't remember the actual name, but apparently if you ask at any of the main music shops in CGY they can point you to it.

    Oh ya...and a lot of the synths are hands-on exhibits.
