I have had a Behringer mixer fo ra while. It's worked without flaw. It's just a small mixer (8 channel) with effects and it connects to a computer through USB (as well as allt he standard outputs to P/A, Control ROom, etc.).

But, if I were to do it over again, I'd buy the Alesis for about the same price and get multi-channel recording through USB. It's my single complaint about the Behringer, is the stereo output through USB, the Alesis will output as many channels as it has into a multitrack recording program. And, I believe they are within 0-20 bucks of each other.

Yes, there are more expensive, more robust mixers out there. But, I've seen Alesis and Behringers do the job for many years for the prosumer crowd. If buying for the occasional gig...
