    Johnson Les Paul

Don't know anything about these Guitars. Are they any good, or are they junk. Is $150 too much for one.

I've neevr played one or seen one in person, so I can't speak as to their value or how good they are.
Hwoever there are some principles that I can speak of--how sturdy are they?
Is the wood in good shape--would it crumble or fall apart--will screws hold on.
    What does it sound like?
    How ell does it play
How does it feel to hold--not play, but just hold.

    How is the neck?
Are frets level? Is there a lot of fret buzz
Do the fret ends threaten to (Or actually) slice your fretting hand?

    Stuff like that
And what else can you get for that amount.

How handy are you at fixing stuff up & how much do you want to do that.

    Those sorts of things.

Oh--and the tuners--when you play it does it stay in tune or keep going out of tune...

Not beyond asking current owners (which is what he's doing) and actually inspecting the guitar

Found one of these for 150. May be able to talk them down some, but I don't know if it is a good guitar or mediocre, or junk. It's a beautiful looking guitar, but looks don't play.

True--even if one of us had played one--it could be completely different---so I listed things to check out & see if it's worth it.
