    I'm sure they couldn't be THAT bad- I'd try one. Although Fender is not really known for acoustics and archtops

    No they aren't--although they have made some decent ones & even a better than that.

    The Master Series though were far above those others--really.
    Bu the Fender name didn't do them a lot of favours--even with D'Aquisto's name.
    ANd they were also hampered by Fender's overall situation at the time.

    Of course Fender bought Guild some time back so they have those guitars well covered now

    I don't know how the new ones are but I was disappointed when I saw the archtops are MIK
