    Never played one but I always thought the idea cool how you could slide the pickups out of the guitars and swap for a different one

    I'd probably be more interested in the guitar, if you could get the pickups somewhere without them being ridiculously expensive

    As far as I know there was only a humbucker & a single coil

    not sure- if that were made today, there would certainly be aftermarket pickups

    I do like Jazz basses
    & that looks cool
    The covers they used on the production model are better than the prototype
    But it has a funkiness to it

    Absolutely- if I was in the market for another bass I'd probably get a Fender J
