How the Jaguar Became Fenderís New Model for 1962

I really don' need another solidbody electric--I'd be better off getting an acoustic with 6 steel strings (I have a 12 string & a classical), or a reso or a lap steel, or something more different.

But if I did --I think I would love to have a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster...

I love the look of those offset's but the bridges don't work with how I pick. Great article.

Ive always flirted with the idea of getting an offset, but I always never want to buy one because I dont think its suited to my style of playing and music,.

I've never warmed up to the Jazzmasters, but Jaguars really intrigue me. I like 24" scale Fender necks, plus I think I'd enjoy the unusual control setup. I'm not sure I'm ready to invest in one because of the bridge issues, which never seem to have been sorted out.

I pluck with my index finger while flat picking. All my speed originates with that picking style. There is not enough tension on the saddle's and I pull the strings off the saddles. I plan on building an offset in the next year or so with a Strat tremolo bridge. Just a Jazz Master that works for me. Cause they are really cool.

I do have a Mustang that has the 24 scale as well
So I know I am good with that
And the longer scale on the Jazzmaster doesn't bother me
    I like it as well

I would lean more toward the Jazzmaster though because it is more different from what I have than the Jaguar
    But either would be cool

I think this is a guitar that would be nice to have in my collection, but a guitar that I wont really be using as much as a tele or a strat.

I doubt it would be my main guitar

But I have gone through phases where I mix it up

They are both neat guitars- I must admit I don't play my Jazzmaster all that much
