    Happy Anniversary Iceman

Okay-- a bit late--but on August 1 I was playing this to celebrate the anniversary of buying it.
I started guitar on classical & after a couple of years my parents bought me a Les Paul copy (There is at least one thread detailing how I modded that)
But I wanted an "upgrade" and something different.
I spent much time in music stores trying a wide variety of guitars--and one that stuck out was the Ibanez Iceman.
So in the summer before my last year of high school I did have a job for part of the summer & put aside some money for a guitar.
One day I was ta a friends but was tired from working & was going to go home. But he was going to a music store (Also a guitar player)
He kept trying to get me to go to the store, but I was going home
In those days we both took the bus or walked, not having our own vehicles.
The bus going home & the bus to the music store had stops across the street with a good view if the bus was coming.
So I said Id take whichever bus got there first.
So I wound up at the music store where they had the beauty below.
A used Ibanez Ibanez that was more than affordable for me.
After some unplugged playing, I played it through just about every amp in their amp room.
And it didn't take long before I knew it was mine.

And now all these years later I still own & play it.
    So happy anniversary Iceman.

It's an interesting guitar. Not necessarily my thing, but it's got the same odd charm that I see in the Rickenbacker basses....Not symmetrical, and not predictable in shape, but there's something graceful in the lines. Nice to own something cool that not everybody's got sitting at home too. It's always great when you sit down with a guitar that you've owned a while and renew your appreciation of why you bought it.

    Thanks
    It does have graceful lines.

It is very comfortable to hold & play sitting and standing (Some guitars excel at one & suck at the other)
    Very well balanced.

there is a method to the shape.
When I first got one you rarely saw them--& I never showed up to a jam where someone else had one.
