I think new Gold Tones are sub $400 (US). I'm sure they can be gotten cheaply used.

I'm getting GAS and I don't even know why, lol. My landlord asked me today if I'd help him price three guitars that he's going to be liquidating after a death in his family. Apparently there's one electric and two acoustics. I'm already wondering if the electric is something I'd like to own. I'll find out this weekend.

I've been trying to imagine what the electric might be. The landlord says there was also an accordion and a violin, which they've already listed for sale. I'm wondering what a person who owned that variety of instruments might choose, owning two acoustics and wanting a token electric. A Squier....an Epiphone.....who knows?

An accordion? My son would love one of them to fool around with. Last night after he went to bed we could hear him playing the musical saw.

Well, my GAS is dissipating. My landlord showed me those guitars a few minutes ago. I can't remember the names on the acoustics....They're inexpensive ones though. I was most interested in seeing the electric, but it turned out to be a First Act Strat-style that came with a tiny amp in the carton. Brand new, single humbucker.....I momentarily flashed on the idea of building a Hello Kitty, but I think I'll pass. Just as well....I'm trying to thin the herd, not acquire more.

The landlord gave me a new capo (the thumbscrew/clamp style) that was in the collection of stuff he has to dispose of, which is great.

Yeah I can't see a First Act being worth your while in any way
