1968 Fender Super Showman Outside Victoria, Victoria

It is a neat amp but for what they are asking I would not be a buyer

Neither point above changes that I wouldn't be a buyer at this price

I think you're selling this amp short. This is a solid-state pre-amp that retailed around 1495.00 back in 1970, the best Fender could build at the time. If it was teamed with Fender tube amp, it would make a great hybrid. There're some interesting effects built in...in addition to reverb and tremelo, it's got three channels, a geranium-style fuzz, and the Dimension IV expander (Motor-driven PCB canister)......so it's certainly not your grandmother's amp. I'd like to have this to plug into my Twin Reverb.

Hey I am not knocking the amp! I'm just saying at that price point there would be a lot of other amps I'd be interested in. I'd probably buy another V-4

    Doesn't mean it isn't a good deal.
Just checking-are you thinking in US$?
In US $ it would be about $460--based on the asking price.
Would you be ok with $400-450 US? if they accepted that offer?

Im gassing for really good amps!

Ive found this local builder, Lucas Miles, which does a lot of boutique amps based on Fenders and it sounds really good.

This one caught my attention. based on a 63 Vibroverb, 35w. Probably more than I could ever need. but my goodness. that tone.

    or this 65 Vibroverb

And I recently found out that they have this here in australia! I never thought Id see a 3 monkeys amp here. Its so expensive though. REALLY expensive.

Particulary the Sock Monkey. Which is around 18w, 1x12. The only thing is doesnt have reverb. and I love reverb.

Hey in capitalism, the price is whatever the market will bear, which is great.

This amp isn't for me personally, even around US$400
