    Thread participation cues

When I first started visiting guitar forums, I discovered that there were some (can't remember which ones) that showed visual cues about thread participation. In other words, when I looked at the thread title, there was a symbol I could hover my mouse pointer over, and it would tell me if I had participated in a thread, and sometimes how many posts I had made to that thread. Is there anything like that feature here?

Yep, there sure is. There is an icon system next to each thread in the forum index. It's not on the homepage... but it is on the "What's New" listing.

You'll find the icons next to each thread title and there is an Icon Legend at the bottom of every thread index within a forum. And if you hover your mouse over the thread icon of a thread you've posted in it will tell you how many posts you have in the thread. Is that what you are looking for?

Also, on the home page there is a green check mark on every thread that you are subscribed to.

    Here's the legend:

Thanks, Paul, that's exactly what I was looking for. Funny to belong to a forum for two years and still not know about stuff like this. I almost always have the home page on my screen and rarely go to the sub-forums unless I'm digging for an old thread. And, I think today's the first time I ever clicked on What's New. I guess it's time for me to broaden my horizons on the forum.

Maybe I should read this book....

I too mostly use the home page -- but I think the majority of users overall use What's New. All What's New is is a search for new posts since your last visit.

I mostly use the What's new link--as well as doing a search for my posts and seeing what's there that way as well.

    Handy features-both of them.

I pretty much live by the "What's New" button.
I crawl like a viper through these suburban streets.

I'm finding I pretty much live on AxeTalk. I thinking about making it my homepage.
