Today I went to work refretting. I had some standard size Fender frets arrive for me at a local store on Wednesday. One by One I tanged the sides radiused & installed them.

After installing them I snipped off the excess with a modified pair of cutters.

Next I used a fret bevel that I made to bevel the edges.

After dressing the corners taking making them nice smooth here it is.

I still have a little clean up to do & will level it with my rig when its mounted to a body. All in all It's pretty nice.

Looks like a lot of work--but looking forward to seeing the rest.

The finish looks darker in some of the pictures. Is that just photgraphing in different light, or have you done the finish? It's starting to look great....It looks like your fretwork is quite refined too. Nice job.

thanks guys. Its just the lighting spell. None of this felt like work to me. This is how I have fun. I have enjoyed every minute of this project.

Well, glad you had fun--you did a much better job than I would have...
