    $50 Studio LP

This week I picked up this cool little Epiphone Les Paul Studio for fifty bucks! The neck was broken & the guy was cleaning out his garage & just wanted it gone. I steamed the fret board off to the second fret then I could open the crack up wide enough to fill it up with Titebond Original wood glue then zap it for 24hrs. After that I glued the fretboard back down. After it dried I sanded the area down to 1200 grit. You can see the repair but you can't feel it & it's strong as it ever was. I dug some parts out of the old parts drawer & in the end after a couple days labor I have a great Les Paul for the whopping sum of 58 bucks including the strings

Thanks guys. I did the final setup on it this morning. It plays beautiful. I was going to level it but checking it out now that it's settled in its about 98%. I got 2 frets that are so mildly higher that they are not worth even addressing. My action is where I want it & no buzz. Playing it I'm surprised about my good fortune. I love my hobby.

Um - about you moving to Ontario...
I bought a relic'd guitar because I liked the way it sounded. Then I refinished it because I didn't like the way it looked.
