    Lawsuit overhaul

I did up this mid 70s Lawsuit Les Paul for a guy the last week or so. It looked pretty bad in the beginning but on further inspection it proved to be a good solid example of one of these. I leveled crowned and polished the frets. Burnished the board which made it brighten up. Replaced all the electrical topping it off with a pair of Wilkison alnico 5 pickup's. I wet sanded the body with 1200 & removed as much of the mysterious purple paint as I could & to be honest the remaining purple accents here and there actually gives it some unique character now that it's all blended in. Just a forgotten story in its long life . it's pretty fun to play. I'm thinking the customer is going to be very happy with the final results.

    Nice work!
    When you visiting Ontario again?
I bought a relic'd guitar because I liked the way it sounded. Then I refinished it because I didn't like the way it looked.

I have yet to play a Les Paul or a Les Paul copy that I like.

My first guitar is a chinese cheap LP copy, thats unbearably heavy and not only that, its incredibly imbalance. it neck dives a lot. and I hated it. That impression on LP and LP style guitars remained until now. so Im really biased with my thinking regarding these guitars.

And I have a Les Paul (Although it's modded) and a LP copy I love playing--takes all types I guess.

& KC--I hope your customer loves it.

Well gearwise--if we all used the same guitars, amps & pedals--it would get boring...
