    Saturday Tele Overhaul.

Hey guy's as I've mentioned a couple times I had an upgrade planned for my nephew's Squire Tele this weekend. I couldn't take time for the shots of the process cause I didn't start on it until about 1 pm & they were leaving today so I had to step on it. This is the result. I upgraded the saddles nut & String tree with Graphtech Tusq parts.I swear by there stuff. The natural tone improvements are remarkable. They to me remove an unwanted frequency that metal produces yet sustain every bit as good. I upgraded the electrical with Tone Emporium TE 05 52 Tele Pickup set. I've used there stuff a few times before & great results for the buck. I upgraded the control's with CTS pots a CRL pickup switch & an 0.22 PIO tone cap. & a new Switchcraft jack. The frets were totally leveled crowned & polished on my rack. That little truss rod was near maxed to handle the 52 to 46 strings he prefers. It stabled out nicely & played great & Buzz free. We topped it off with a cool tweed pickguard from Greasy Groove. In the end this little bottom feeder Tele packs a pretty big stick & looks pretty sharp as well.

That turned out nicely, KC. Your nephew's a lucky guy to have somebody talented like you in the family.

    Beautiful job, KC!
    Will you adopt me?
I bought a relic'd guitar because I liked the way it sounded. Then I refinished it because I didn't like the way it looked.

Enjoy--and string it however you like.
