    My go to Strat.

Today I finally finished my upgrades and customisation on my favorite Strat. It's funny how you can just gel with a certain instrument & this one is my buddy. It brings out the best of me. The neck was a total write off which I repaired earlier with a new hotrod dual action truss rod a fresh 7.25 radius and standard fender frets. I covered the headstock with copper & brass which will patina nicely with age. I got the Ancient looking tuners from a vendor off eBay in Germany. The electrical has every bell & whistle. A Gilmore switch, an antique doorbell stutter button & an active mid boost that on the click of a switch gives this guitar a tasty mid range snarl. The pickup's are Alexander Pribora's out of Russia. They sound excellent & with that mid boost down right amazing. This guitar has been a work in progress for years and now I believe I can just leave it alone.

Looks cool, sounds like it sounds cool--and I love the stutter switch idea...

    Enjoy!

Is that a partscaster or was it originally a Fender?

I figured- and that one is different from a stock Strat in quite a few ways

Given resources & abilities I would have made my own guitar--which is a cool thing--make it how you want it.
But if you don't do a good job--well--that's what I woudl get...

but I love each of my guitars--modded or unmodded

& yet the desire lingers--and with the parts I have I am thinking of doing that--but it would purposely be an oddball guitar--and I would try & I would do my best.
