    Intentionally bad guitar solo

You have to be good to play a solo so bad-
    (And it's a great song)

Many years ago, the was a tv program called Hootenanny. One show had Roy Clark as a guest. I had never heard of him. He came on and played "Wildwood Flower" with the most outrageous and hilarious "mistakes." I laughed my butt off! Tried to find a clip, but couldn't. Roy is a great guitarist, and he's very funny too. Met him years later, and reminded him of his appearance on Hootenanny. We had a good laugh!

The Smothers Brothers act was almost based on that...

Hu, if you EVER find that solo, please post it.
Roy is one of my all-time favourite guitar players AND entertainers.
I bought a relic'd guitar because I liked the way it sounded. Then I refinished it because I didn't like the way it looked.

I just searched again, but can only find him playing the "straight" version. Might have been on Shindig rather than Hootenanny. I'm terrible at searching the net!
May need to get "The Lightning Fingers" cd. though.

    But are they intentionally bad?
Or do they just come out that way?
