It's a good thing that this is the last time this year that I have got to get up at 5am.

Southern Comfort is near the top of my good-things list tonight. I haven't indulged for a while, but a co-worker gave me a Christmas bottle as I was leaving work this afternoon. Nice, as it's probably one of the few gifts I'm expecting, and a treat to start the long weekend.

It seems weird to refer to this as a long weekend--Most people get at least CHristmas off not matter what day--and many get Boxing Day up here in Canada--but since Christmas is on a Monday--it does make it a long weekend--just seems odd, because it doesn't have to be a long weekend...
(like next year Christmas is on a Tuesday--so I would not have a long weekend--although some will)
