Ever wonder if you made a big mistake? About a week ago, my landlord approached me, telling me he was having a satellite installed and asking me if I wanted to switch from cable to dish. I said yes fairly quickly, since it was a saving of about 100.00/month.
The dish was installed on Thursday, and I expected to spend a couple of days struggling to learn a new remote and getting used to the channels being on strange frequencies. It's now four days later, and all I've learned is that there's not much on here to watch. I don't watch any sports, and I really don't care for movies. What's left are hundreds of CTV and CBC channels showing the same few shows. I've lost the two stations I watched the most, which are only on cablevision, and the only things I've found that I'm interested in are reruns of Star Trek TNG and Rookie Blue that I've seen every day since this horror show started (You can only watch Pickard defeat the Borg so many times.)
I'm already having serious buyers remorse and heartily wishing I hadn't said yes so fast. I expect to call the cable company this week and pay to switch it back. The satellite may have hundreds of channels, but they all show the same limited crap.
