Yeah but getting up at 5 as a pensioner? Probably not so cool

It took months to kick the habit of habit of getting up at 4AM when I first retired. I expected having to get up early again would be tough, but it's not too bad. I'm so tired at night that I'm happy going to bed between 9-10PM. The last few days, I've been waking up before my alarm goes off at 5AM.

I'm sure pooched at the end of the workday, even if it's not a full eight hours. Today, I started at 7AM and worked non-stop with no breaks until 2:20PM. I'd forgotten how high pressure it can be at times. Hopefully, it'll keep me skinny and a little sharper mentally.

Spell, I hope this job opportunity brings you extra cash and some pleasure (as in your sense of accomplishment you mentioned).

But please quit when it gets to be a grind.
I bought a relic'd guitar because I liked the way it sounded. Then I refinished it because I didn't like the way it looked.

Apparently you actually need less sleep when you get older--but you have less stamina...

But all things considered this might be just what the doctor ordered for you. It is useful employment that makes you feel valued as a person and there is financial benefit.

But Spell could set his own hours when he was giving away his time.

Cool. It's important to be active Spell. This is like an exercise program that you get paid for. I'm glad you're working again.
