It's getting tougher to get up to speed as I get older. I worked five days, an average of about 6 hours at day, and today I pretty much hit the wall. By about 2:30, I just couldn't stay on my feet. I'm starting to feel a bit more human after sitting down for six hours, and hopefully after a three day weekend I'll feel up to doing this again. I can really feel the year off and just how much stamina and muscle I've lost. It's tough right now, but I'll be in better shape if I can do this.

    I enjoy working & I enjoy my days off--fortunately I have both...

It's going well, dB. I'm finally starting to feel better....Not so much run down by a freight train at the end of the day.....and the new jeans I just bought are two inches smaller in the waist. I'm in better shape than I've been for a year, and surprisingly, not having too much trouble getting up at 4:30AM. And, it's nice to know that when I decide I've had enough, I'll have that pleasure of retirement to look forward to.

Awesome to hear it! Plus the feeling of self worth you have from being productive in a place where they like and value you.

I had today off--still had to get up early though--and spent part of the day napping--unintentionally

Are you finding this is helping you out with car payments, etc?

It doesn't make a great deal of difference. If I collect wages, I lose my Guaranteed Income Supplement portion of my pension, so working doesn't really put me ahead financially. I work because I want to,rather than for money's sake.
