    Yeah that is annoying that you can't go anywhere and play acoustically without disturbing them

    Well mostly you avoid playing near any vents...
    --like I said I could play in the next room and it would less audible...

    Not so much an issue where I live now--unless I play my 12 string.

    I do play unplugged a lot--but I do like plugging in as well--so even if I plug in & use headphones to others it is the same as if I am playign unplugged...

    true. I don't think I ever played through headphones. I don't think any of my amps allow for it

    Most newer amps do--so only my earliest amps don't.

    I'm not a big fan of headphones in general- I never use them to listen to music

    A good set of headphones is a wonderful thing--I don't like earbuds.
    And some older albums sound great on headphones--you notice nuances to the song you miss on speakers--even top of the line speakers.

    I don't like earbuds either. My son has a really nice pair of Shure headphones.

    Without headphones i would have listened to a lot less music.
    And they come in very handy when recording.
