How do you set the controls on your Bandit iaitb? I don't need 40 watts so I'm looking at an Envoy.

    I am using this version..

Peavey Bandit 112 - Guitar World

I'll take pictures of my setting next time.. it varies from time to time.. i may like it trebly this week, and more bassy next week.. but yeah, sometimes I don't mess with it and just use the knobs on my guitar...

    here is my setting tonight..

plugged into the HIGH GAIN input, set to the classic/vintage clean channel..

reverb: 10 (because peavey's reverb is not it's strong point.. you only get a hint of reverb even at 10.. it is still audible, but it stays at 10.. always)

    treble: 7

    mid: 6

    bass: 4

    volume: 4-5 (live performance volume)

master volume/boost: 5 (live performance volume)

there is a dampening control at the back of the amp.. there are three options: tight, i-forgot-the-second-option and loose.. I set it on "LOOSE".. i tried setting it on "tight" but the reverb and the sound got a little tight.. not my kind of thing...

I never use the lead channel, it sucks big time...

take note, it is a very loud amplifier.. it hurts my ears when the volume is past 5..

this amp my last resort if I don't have any other options.. my top two contenders are peavey classic 30, and fender blues junior, they are at the same price, being the peavey classic 30 a better buy because it is rated at 30w while the blues jr is 15w.. but I'm looking for a single channel for simplicity...

anyway, if you like this amp.. it's a great amp.. for cleans, but you might end up longing for more...

It sucks that I won't get to see one of my guitar heroes live in concert! If I'm going to spend that much money, I'd better be a few feet away from John Mayer, if not, no thanks... and I don't want to spend money just to sit for 2 hours and drool over his guitars.. LOL.. But I would if it is Eric Clapton or B.B. King..

I went to a BB King concert probably 15 years ago and I was maybe 100 feet away. It was still cool. I hear he's reduced his tour schedule from 250 gigs a year to only 120. I keep thinking he's 100, but he's only 85.

OK. OK. NJ is the land of the rising sun. It's also the land of the early (by 3 hours) sunset.
