    Computer terms question

Maybe somebody can explain some computer terms to me. I've often seen recommendations for solving problems with forums that involve deleting the cookies and cleaning the cache. Is this accomplished simply by logging out and re-logging in, or is there a better way to purge? I log out and then log in to the forum again frequently, and I do a disc cleanup and defragmentation daily. Anything I'm missing?

Your browser should have options for deleting cookies, clearing the cache etc
& should have a setting to do it manually or automatically & other similar options
I've been a pilgrim on this earth, since the day of my birth, I'm a long way from my home.

So, I'm assuming that if a person has two browsers...Firefox and Internet Explorer.....that the purging has to be done for each browser?

Yes, the browsers maintain different cookies so if you want them cleared they both have to be done. Takes like 5 seconds to do it however

I use Google Chrome almost exlusively. Nothing out there that's as fast as this browser. I do clear everything once or every two weeks. browsing history, cache, cookies.
