I noticed tonight that both TDPRI and StratTalk are unavailable again. I'm surprised how much down time there's been.

Hmm, not sure--I don't go on those forums--could be over-use?

Sounds like there are still some unhappy campers. The guys at GibsonTalk are less than thrilled by the complete change of format....It looks like the forum template came from a completely different source and is not intuitive and user friendly like it used to be. And, the Gretsch guys are still dealing with ghosts in the machine...log-on problems and forum functions that either don't work or don't work as they did before. I'm grateful that there's been minimal disruption here and things have stayed more or less the same.

Sometimes it is good to be small and stay below the radar

Hmmmm.....We appear to have fared better than GibsonTalk anyway. People seem to be jumping ship over there. Maybe now that we've veered around that iceberg, we'll finally get where we're going......

I also stop daily at many of the other GearTalk forums and there seems to be a ghost in the machine at many of them. I don't know whether to think someone less talented than Paul is now flying solo and not doing it well, or whether they're so self-absorbed in their software upgrading process that they aren't listening to what members are saying. Theye're pretty much unresponsive.

I've pretty much given up on TDPRI. It used to be my first stop when I wasn't here, but I don't have unlimited time to wait for things to load. AxeTalk, for all it's limitations, is probably as healthy as any of the other forums under the TGP umbrella.
